Midare

みだれ Midare – Yatsuhashi Kengyo (Traditional)

The composer was a gifted blind musician from Kyoto who died at the age of 72 in 1685.  Meanwhile in the Western World, two great masters Bach and Hendel were born in the same year.  Generally, Dan-mono pieces consist of several Dan(movements) and each movement is fixed at a total 52 beats; this is not the case in this piece, therefore the title “Midare”(Disorder).
