The Shakuhachi (Japanese flute) and the Koto (traditional Japanese stringed instrument) have been played together since at least the 17th Century and remain one of the most popular combinations of traditional instruments in Japan. Riley Lee and Satsuki Odamura have been playing regularly together for over a decade, this album is a collection of the duets most often performed by these two internationally acclaimed master musicians.
