Slivanje means 'meeting of the waters' in Macedonian. Formed in 1991, they premiered at the Adelaide Festival's 1992 WOMADelaide World Music Festival, appeared at the 1992 and 1994 Brisbane World of Music Festivals, and were featured in a half hour documentary broadcast on SBS Television in 1993 (AFC entry)
Where Waters Meet was recorded during a Brisbane Ethnic Music and Arts Center residency in 1993, they had previously recorded a cassette album available through BEMAC.
